What am I supposed to be doing here is the question we ask ourselves pretty much every day every other day if we come down to being honest, I find myself asking God over and over what am I supposed to do what’s my purpose what is your plan for me.
This morning I came across a devotional in my bible 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
And I realize that God’s will for my life was written out in black-and-white right in front of my
rejoice always pray constantly give thanks in everything for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus . 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
So many times we want specific answers a clear answer from the Lord for direction and clarity hoping God will just spell it out for us wouldn’t that make life so much easier? Of course but that’s not the way it works but instead of telling us what to do the Lord shows us how to live. We are to rejoice instead of fret.
We are to bring our burdens to him instead of trying to walk through life in our own strength. And we are to give thanks in every circumstance because he has sent his son to savers, and that gives us something to always always be grateful for.
Friend if you’re in a season of feeling confused about God’s will for your life I have great news for you and me too we can be confident in Christ knowing full well whats he desires you to do.
Rejoice in him. Pray continually. And give thanks in every circumstance.
