Overcome

Jesus didn’t die on the cross to save our souls from hell so we would live here on earth riddled with anxiety, worries, and fears.

There comes a time when we have to decide to believe all the things he tells us about himself, to believe what he tells us about ourselves, to stand up strong and tall and pronounce, I am a child of God. Because of these truths, because of this freedom, we will fight, and we will win the battle in the war he has already won.

We don’t have to live in fear. God is in control; he has only goodness and hope for our future, and we can trust him as a good Father.

When fear rises up in you, I want you to get on your face, talk to Jesus, pour out everything in your heart, and ask the Holy Spirit (who is given to us by Jesus as our helper and comforter) to empower you to do everything that you’re called to do in this season. Amen

Worship God when the storm clouds appear on the horizon, and when the cold wind whips across your face, fight back.

Proverbs 31:25, “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.”

Stay strong; stay close to Jesus. Stand tall, great woman of God; you are clothed with strength and dignity and you can laugh bravely at the days to come. That’s the secret; that’s how we live brave and unafraid.

AMEN

Provision thru the journey

Psalm 91:15:

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;

I will be with him in trouble;

I will deliver him and honor him.

Jehovah Jireh provides a way through trouble, a direction when we need it most.

As we have already seen throughout this Bible reading plan, Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, provides for our physical needs. He provided Abraham with the ram for the offering. Jehovah Jireh also provides for our emotional needs through His people, the precepts of His Word, and through His presence by the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, Jehovah Jireh provides for all He commands us to do, as He provided Joseph to protect the people through famine, Moses as a deliverer for the Hebrews out of Egypt, and for the building of a temple.

In addition to all those forms of provision, Jehovah Jireh is faithful to provide us with direction when we see no way before us, as illustrated in the life of King Hezekiah. As 2 Kings 19 explains, King Hezekiah and the people of Judah face the army of Sennacherib, King of Assyria. Sennacherib’s army of 185,000 surrounds Judah, and he sends Hezekiah a threatening letter, essentially saying, “Don’t believe God will protect you! We are coming for you!”

It is a time of great fear for Judah, and Hezekiah’s response is instructive. Before he jumps to action, Hezekiah lays the Assyrian threat before God. And notice what Hezekiah does NOT do in 2 Kings 19:14-19. He does NOT tell God what to do. He simply puts the letters of the enemy in front of God and essentially asks the Lord to provide a direction.

And God makes a way! In one night, one angel of the Lord killed 185,000 Assyrians!

I believe this is a challenge to all of us who deal with anxiety in areas of provision. Jehovah Jireh doesn’t just provide tangible provisions. Jehovah Jireh provides us with direction. Another of God’s names is Jehovah Raah, God our Shepherd, and we know He leads us in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake (Psalm 23:3).

When crisis arises, can we learn to slow down to seek God’s direction? Can we learn from Hezekiah to lay the situation before Jireh, Our Provider, and watch Him make a way, where there is no way

Amen.

Human nature can tend to focus on what we lack, times when our friends hurt us, and moments when we are discouraged and disquieted. But we must never forget that God is Jireh, the provider of all that we DO have – that friend that DOES call and text, that churchgoer that DOES welcome us warmly, and that word of Scripture that comforts us on a dark day. We do not need to follow our hearts for emotional fulfillment but rather obey Jehovah Jireh, the provider for even our emotional needs!

Disciples of Jesus

when we seek to encourage and personally affirm those who come across our path, we are cultivating in them an understanding of their great worth to Christ. We are instilling in them a hope that they, with their unique personalities, skills, and circumstances, are playing a part.

Discipleship Is About the Heart

That’s what discipleship is—captivating hearts with a passion for Christ and teaching others to commune with Him through the seasons of their lives. Discipleship, then, is not about indoctrination. Discipleship is about the heart.

David, who would become the king of Israel, did not look anything like a royal leader. But God told Samuel to anoint him anyway, for “man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart,” (1 Samuel 16:7).

Discipling others is not about authority, great faith, strong personality, spiritual giftedness, appearance, or deep knowledge. It’s about being faithful to serve—available to God and willing to learn right where we are.

It’s said that success proceeds first from showing up, but it goes a step further for believers. The exhortation in the book of Hebrews to “encourage one another” requires a group of more than one Christian. So when you bring others together, you are creating the opportunity for the Spirit to show up, to blow through your gathering.

If you are faithful, available, and teachable, then God is not concerned about outward appearances such as worldly qualifications and qualities: He is looking at your heart. Just like the disciples of Jesus’s day, you don’t have to have it all together to bring others into your space. Just do it. Because when women are filled with the power, love, wisdom, and celebration of the Spirit, the next generation will catch fire with their passion.

Amen

Tea with friends coffee too

I can’t even begin to count how many close friends I have made over a simple meal or a cup of tea (or coffee, if you must!). There is something about stealing away from the “busy” of life and sipping something wonderful, smooth, and warm while sitting in an environment and connecting with friends, new or old.

Over the years, I have learned the gift of teatime discipleship—speaking about eternal truths and life-changing messages of God’s love and design, shaping the foundations of thought, and sharing in friendship over hot beverages and delightful treats. By simply opening my door to seeming strangers and establishing an environment of welcome, I saw firsthand how women need women, friends with whom to share life, companions through all seasons, and spiritual mentors to keep their faith alive.

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling,” (1 Peter 4:8-9).

Notice the phrase “above all.” Peter knows that our vibrancy in Christ is flavored primarily by the love we give to and receive from one another.

Serve One Another

Peter continues his encouragement in 4:10-11: “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.”

God Provides What We Need To Do His Work

I desire for US to feel seen and to help you understand that God is present. He cares about the burdens that you carry and desires to help you find freedom and wholeness in community with other women.

How do you get through your days and keep sane (lol) what keeps you going and can I be honest? We you ever feel like okay Jesus what’s it all about? What gives? When will I make a difference in this crazy world ? Or is it just me ?

Laundry, cleaning, cooking, bottles, diapers, baths, showers, bills, etc… the list goes on and on am I right?

So if your like me the thought has crossed your mind I’m sure , so let’s unpack our mundane and how thy matter.

lets go back to bible days for a moment we see how the then men traveled to the mountains to meet god, and the women stayed home right , ever notice this or winder why?

Well a little insight is given to us with two women Mary and Martha .

So back to then men going to meet god, and back to the women

As women we have many roles specially if your wife and a mom, we have things and people that need our attention. As women our mundane our everyday routines honor god when we do then unto him , if we’re faithful in them. Marriage , motherhood comes with responsibility .

See as women we can’t pick up and leave and go on a journey to meet god, it wasn’t just. Drive their and back they hadn’t to walk far and walk back,

Jesus knew the importance of a women’s duties in her home. Jesus meets us right where we are! Wow chew on that for a moment.the god of the universe , the creator of the world meets us, shows up, and longs to dwell with us , wow.

Jesus goes out of his way to meet us , have an encounter that brings change, strength, love whatever it is e need . Remember when he met the women at the well ?

He had a divine appointment with her , she was right in her her normal routine , her mundane day Jesus met her and her life was forever changed.

Now back to Mary and Martha ,

Luke 10:38-42

Jesus went to their house and we know the story Martha was busy with her mundane and preparing , while Mary sat at jesus’ feet , jesus’ took the time out to meet them both in there home right in the mundane , Martha kept getting frustrated going back and forth telling Jesus , Mary should be helping me in so many words but she sits with you , what Martha missed was Jesus’ presence in her mundane , Mary notice it and invited him in her mundane and sat in his presence .

Wow ,n just sit there for a moment can you imagine that?

Picture you’re mundane , and Jesus walking in how would you respond? What would you do ?

Would you go about your you routine chores?nor would you invite him in your routine and sit in his presence?

See when we sit with Jesus more and more and encounter him and his glory were forever changed , were awoken more to who he has called us to be . We’re strengthen were growing , we’re learning more of Jesus and the heart of god.

Just like the women at the well.

John 4:4-26

lets meet another women Jesus met and didn’t judge her mistakes , but bend down in them with her, the women caught in adultery .

John 8:1-11

One of my favorite encounters , see in. Her routine her mundane day she was pulled from her act of adultery right I the act , wow can you imagine how she must have felt, ashamed, guilty, low, everyone seen her, exposed, and all the feelings where our sin catches ups with us , I’m sure you know but imagine it 10x that , well Jesus bend down to her in her mess, he didn’t excuse her but he forgave her he met her in her lowest and showed love grace and mercy .

That’s what Jesus does for us.

If we let him. are we inviting him in our mundane ?

See our routines our chores have meaning , have purpose by doing them well unto the Lord we honor him.

Faithful in little , faithful in much.

Sure we wanna do what we’re called to do for Jesus, but what if in this season this is it , this is where we’re called, see our ministry starts in our home first.

If we cant be faithful here how can we be faithful out there ?

Are wen being good stewards of what god has given us?

Jesus meets us right in the mundane, that means while were doing laundry, washing dishes vacuuming making the beds invite Jesus in those moments simply pray have a conversation with Jesus, see what he wants to whisper to you heart and what he wants to teach you .

Even when we’re out running around , use that time and invite Jesus in with you while your drive along he will Keep you company . The more time we invite Jesus in our days the more we become closer with him know his heart a bit more and develop a stronger relationship with him.

Lets meet another women Jesus made time for while he on a journey ,

The women with the blood issue , she heard of him and knew he was passing by she ran to meet jesus, she didn’t care how or what it would take she was determined, her faith wow what a faith she must of had , she only wanted to touch his garment a thread , she knew she would be healed , she sought the Lord and found him, and Jesus while passing by she didn’t make a scene to meet him and talk to him she simply touched his robe while it dragged the ground and Jesus, spoke who touched me he felt his power go out , his presence was made known.

Matthew 9:20-22

Mark 5:25-34

We can we gleam from her ? Seek Jesus right in our mundane , whatever were carrying Jesus cares and wants to be sought out and invited into our lives.

Seeking Jesus we find his presence and he meets us there and fills us up with his power , his healing, his anointing.
